Business Intelligence Data Analyst

The main aim of the BI team is leveraging data to provide insights and evidence to help the stakeholder to take meaningful business actions. With the help of key findings and reports from the team, the Business Leader will be all set to make an informed decision.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Data Evangelist to drive a data culture, data-driven mindset by working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Become a subject matter expert on all the data we have, how is it measured/defined/collected, and lead the way on how stakeholders can make the best use of data to measure our business
  • Define metrics of success for product/service/campaign-related initiatives
  • Design and build automatic dashboards to monitor business performance and reshape our current understanding of customer behaviour
  • Conduct analysis to extract insights from various data and drive business decision-making
  • Runs ad hoc analysis to diagnose trends or answer specific questions from stakeholders
  • Find the “story” in the data and readily share insights across the organization
  • Requirements:

  • 2+years in a Data Analyst role(what-if scenarios, A/B testing, model creation etc.)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: SQL/Python/ PySpark /SparkSQL
  • Experience with BI tools, data visualization, reports (Tableau/Power BI/SAS VA etc.)
  • Experience with cloud based tools such as AWS or similar
  • Ability to develop a nuanced business understanding, testable hypotheses, and meaningful findings from data
  • Ability to understand and tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and meaningful insights
  • Ability to translate ‘tech speak’ to meaningful business language
  • Eagerness to identify and explore new product/marketing opportunities, potential improvements to our data infrastructure, and unanswered questions about customer behaviour
  • Passion for high data quality

  • A proactive, data-driven and logical mindset
  • Nice To Have:

  • Experience with A/B testing principles
  • Experience in ETL
  • Experience in building data schema knowledge base documents
  • Knowledge of digital tracking solution such as Google Analytics/Firebase/Mixpanel/Appsflyer
